Prep: 1. Mince garlic 2. Chop basil and oregano. Make: 1. In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium high heat. 2. Add the garlic, red pepper flakes, basil and oregano and toss a few times. 3. Add tomato sauce, paste, brown sugar and water (also add cheese now if using). 4. Stir to combine and bring to a light boil. turn down to low, season to taste and allow to simmer for 1 hours for ultimate flavor or use immediately if needed.
You can also add 5 tablespoons fresh parmesan cheese during step 3 if you like.
