Prep: 1. Preheat the oven to 325 and grease a 9 inch round cake pan. 2. Separate one egg. Make: 1. In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the butter. After butter is soft, beat in sugars until light and creamy, about 3 minutes. 2. Beat in the egg and the yolk followed by the wine and vanilla. 3. Use a wooden spoon to mix in the flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. 4. Spread batter in prepared pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. 5. While the cake is cooling make the frosting: Whip cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla together until smooth. 6. Frost cake and serve.
You can add up to a 1/4 cup more red wine for a more distinct wine flavor to the cake, just bake about 5 minutes more.
