Strawberry Tart with Homemade Whipped Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon unsalted butter (for greasing pan)
  • 1 whole frozen puff pastry sheet, thawed
  • 2 cups of strawberries (measured when sliced)
  • 2 teaspoons sugar, divided
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Prep: 1 Defrost frozen puff pastry 2. Preheat your oven to 350°F Make: 1. Grease a cookie sheet 2. Spread puff pastry on the greased cookie sheet, use fingers as needed 3. Neatly arrange strawberries over pastry, leave some crust around edges 4. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of sugar, and bake for 15- 20 minutes (it's done when crust is turning golden brown and berry juices begin to seep out) 5. Meanwhile, make the whip cream: in electric mixer on high mix whipping cream, vanilla, and the other teaspoon of sugar - beat about 2 min (until stiff peaks form). Serve: Top tart with dollops of the homemade whipped cream
