Brown Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • pinch sea salt

Directions

Make: 1. Combine rice, olive oil, salt and water in saucepan. 2. Bring to boil. 3. Cover and simmer 45 minutes. 4. Turn off heat, let sit covered additional 10 minutes. (Or use a rice cooker)

Notes

We seem to always forget how much longer brown rice takes compared to white so make sure to give yourself time for this.
