Prep: 1. Boil water for pasta and to blanch vegetables. 2. Stem and cut broccoli into florets. 3. Peel and dice carrots. 4. Grate cheese. Make: 1. Once water boils add broccoli and cook for 1-2 minutes, remove using a slotted spoon. Add pasta to the water and cook according to package instructions (when pasta is done drain). 3. Heat olive oil and butter in large skillet. Add onion and carrots and cook until soft, about 5 minutes. 4. Add the broccoli along with the peas, salt, and pepper. 5. Stir heavy cream into saucepan with vegetables and simmer. 6. Once pasta is done, mix pasta with sauce, basil, and Parmesan. Toss to coat over low heat.
