Prep: 1. Hull and quarter strawberries. Make: 1. In a small saucepan combine strawberries, sugar, and basil with a splash of limeade. Slowly bring to a boil and then reduce heat and let simmer for about 10 minutes or until strawberries begin to break down. 2. Allow strawberry basil mixture to cool. 3. Once cool, combine strawberry basil mixture, tequila, limeade and ice in a blender. Blend until smooth, serve. 4. Alternately, if you prefer a margarita on the rocks, just blend the strawberry basil mixture and then mix with tequila and limeade in individual glasses.
Adjust the tequila based on how strong of a drink you prefer.
