Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef ribs
  • 2 teaspoons sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup dark brown sugar (more if you prefer a sweet sauce)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Directions

Prep: 1. Preheat oven to 300 and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with foil. Grease foil. Make: 1. Season the ribs all over with salt and pepper, then arrange in prepared pan. 2. Whisk together all remaining ingredients and brush 1/2 cup over the ribs. 3. Flip the ribs over and spoon another 1/2 cup of the sauce over top. (Reserve remaining sauce for serving.) 4. Cover the pan with foil and roast for 2-1/2 hours. 5. Remove foil and cook for 30 minutes more, until the meat is tender and browned. 6. Transfer ribs to serving platter (discard any fat that rendered from the ribs). Brush ribs with the reserved sauce and serve.

Notes

This is great with whatever beef ribs you prefer, we've had great results with both short ribs and full ribs. Short ribs tend to be a bit fattier so you may need to drain the fat at some point depending on the ribs.
