Prep: 1. Boil water. 2. Snap or chop ends off of green beans. Make: 1. When water is boiling, toss in green beans for just 30 seconds. 2. Pop into ice-filled colander to cool. They will be cooked but crispy. 3. Top with salt and/or butter as desired.
If you prefer slightly more done beans you can skip the ice water bath after cooking.
