Strawberry Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 4 cups water
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 cups strawberries
  • 4 teaspoons cinnamon more to taste
  • 4 teaspoons maple syrup more to taste

Directions

Prep: 1. Boil water for oatmeal. 2. Slice strawberries. Make: 1. Add oatmeal and a pinch of salt to the boiling water, reduce heat to a simmer, and cook for 5-7 minutes. 2. When oatmeal is done divide between bowls and top with cinnamon, maple syrup, and strawberries.

Notes

This recipe is extremely versatile, make it your own by using steel cut oats, buckwheat grouts, or quinoa and your sweetener of choice. This is a great healthy breakfast!
