Pan-seared Salmon with Dill Butter

Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon
  • sea salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
  • 2 garlic clove, grated or finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest

Directions

Prep: 1. Mince garlic. 2. Allow butter to come to room temperature (or soften in microwave) 3. Salt and pepper the salmon fillets. Make: 1. Combine the butter, dill, garlic and lemon zest in a small bowl. Stir to combine. Set aside. 2. Heat oil in medium size skillet over medium high heat. Place salmon in the skillet and cook until the salmon starts to turn opaque, about 4-5 minutes per side. 3. Serve salmon with dill butter.
