Prep: 1. Mince garlic. Slice green onion. 2. De-seed and slice jalapeno. Make: 1. In bowl, toss the shrimp, cornstarch, pepper and salt together. 2. Heat oil in skillet over medium heat. 2. Add the garlic, 1/2 of the jalapeños and 1/2 of the green onions. Cook, stirring, until crisp and fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. 3. Add the coated shrimp and cook, until pink and firm, 1-2 minutes per side. 4. Remove from the heat and toss with the remaining jalapeños and green onions.
The desired serving size for this shrimp varies widely depending on how much you like it and what you serve with it, we ate this like our lives depended on it so you may want to make extra. For a more authentic flavor add 1/2 teaspoon of white pepper.
