1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. 2. In large bowl mix fava bean pods with olive oil and salt. 3. Arrange fava beans in a single layer on the grill. 4. Grill 4-5 minutes. or until blistered on one side, then flip and grill 3-4 more minutes. 5. Fava beans should be smooth and creamy when popped out of their pods - not undercooked. 6. Season with more salt, red pepper flakes or lemon zest if desired. Eat by tearing open pods; pinch the skin until fava bean slides out.
