Sauteed Carrots with Dill

Ingredients

  • 1 pound carrots
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • sea salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

Directions

Prep: 1. Peel carrots and cut into 1/4-inch slices. 2. Chop dill. Make: 1. Place carrots, 1/3 cup water, salt and pepper in a large (10 to 12-inch) sauté pan and bring to boil. 2. Cover pan and cook over medium-low heat for 7-8 minutes, until carrots are just cooked through. 3. Add butter and sauté for another minute, until water evaporates and carrots are coated with butter. 4. Remove from heat, and toss with dill. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and serve.

Notes

You can easily substitute any fresh herb you have on hand for the dill.
