Caramelized Onion Meatloaf

Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons grapeseed oil
  • 1/2 cup tapioca flour
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning

Directions

Prep: 1. Mince onion and garlic. 2. Preheat oven to 350. Make: 1. Over medium heat on stovetop, combine diced onions, and grapeseed oil. Cook until onion is browned and caramelized, about 10 minutes, remove from heat 2. In a separate bowl, combine beef, egg, tapioca flour, garlic, Worcestershire, ketchup, and salt 3. Then add the caramelized onions,reserving 2 tablespoons for top 4. Put meat mixture into greased loaf pan and top with an extra drizzle of ketchup and reserved onions. 5. Bake for 45 minutes or until cooked through

Notes

You can use any flour you have on hand for this.
