Prep: 1. Create the dry rub mixture by combining everything except salt and steak in a bowl. 2. Salt steak on both sides, then sprinkle both sides with the dry rub mixture. 3. Lay steaks on a rack on top of a baking sheet and place in refrigerator, uncovered, for at least 1 hour, ideally 3-6 hours. Make: 1. Preheat grill to medium-high. 2. Place the steaks on the grill and cook to desired doneness, turning once (for medium, about 5-6 minutes on each side).
This delicious dry rub is a great alternative to marinades (and yes the steak is still moist!)
